Greg Witika

Greg has over 18 year’s industry experience both as a Personal Trainer and an internationally recognised
Group Fitness Coach, presenter. Greg has worked in a number of gyms both in New Zealand and Australia.
As a result – He can motivate you! He likes to get inside your head and see what makes you tick, allowing you
to get the very best out of your training.

If I could give you one tip for healthy living I would borrow it from Mark Devine, author of The Unbeatable Mind; break everything down to bite size chunks, no matter how big the situation or issue is; if you focus on the whole situation, more often than not, you get disgruntled with the complexity of the situation and don’t know where to start. Focus on the first step only, when you overcome that then focus on the next and so on. You never conquer a mountain by looking at the summit, you conquer it by looking at one step after another.

Dani Eddy

Hi my name is Dani as a community-based personal trainer with 15 years’ industry experience, I am passionate about helping people achieve their goals. If you are new to exercise, looking for a fresh start or maybe wanting to get in shape for an upcoming event – my 16-week Body Transformation Package could be the perfect answer. It gives you two personal training sessions per week, access to unlimited classes at the Wairua Body Coaching Studio, on-going supported exercise programs with nutrition guidance and the tools to make permanent change. For those needing a little more help with making better choices at the supermarket, I will take monthly group food shopping tours. Upon completion of your 16 week Transformation Package you will receive a Specialist Beauty and Hair MAKEOVER with a styling consultant. I can tailor my Personal Training packages and offer casual options also, I work well with both One-to-One clients and groups. Darryl Goad

Darryl has an extensive background as an educator, coach, trainer, presenter, and facilitator.

He studied Physical Education at Otago University followed by Teachers College, and after graduating he taught at secondary school level for several years, during this entire time he worked part time at gyms as he had always enjoyed health and fitness. As the industry grew he eventually transitioned into working in the sector full time.

Along with working within clubs as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer, including coaching, training and mentoring his peers, he’s also worked at management level and travelled extensively, presenting at workshops and facilitating training modules for fitness professionals both within New Zealand and overseas.

He’s recently re-located to his home town of Nelson from a corporate position in Australia, and although he still works with that company, now that he’s home he’s decided to get back to the grass roots of the fitness game and dedicate some of his time to training and coaching people to help improve their lives. After checking out the various fitness facilities in town he found that the culture, feel, and people at Wairua best suited his philosophies around training.

Darryl is available to train individuals as well as small groups, and on occasion he may well pop up leading one of the timetabled sessions at Wairua. He has also brought the Taste Success nutrition programme to Wairua, a natural weight loss and well-being programme which he facilitates. Suzanne Spencer

Hi my name is Suzanne Spencer, I am trained as a professional Tennis Coach and have been coaching full time running my own business suz4tennis, for 10yrs.
I am currently Head Coach at Tahunanui Tennis Club and Wakapuaka Tennis Club and a Nelson tennis representative. Having also previously played high level netball and football, performing and training at an elite level is nothing new to me.
Now that I am a certified Tribe Coach at Wairua Body Coaching Systems as well, and having been around sport since as long as I can remember, I can get you motivated, assist with injury prevention and get you reaching your sporting and fitness goals. MOTIVATION  

What has motivated you to start today?

Everyone has a reason, whether it’s being embarrassed by your reflection in the mirror, wanting to be the best you can be in your chosen sport, or even to live long enough to see your children grow up.

Motivation is the first of our 5 Core Values and the spark that ignites your journey.
DESIRE

The fire that sets action aflame. Desire is the want, the need and it has to be strong enough to overcome all adversities.

Desire is the fuel that keeps the fire burning and just like the fuel that keeps your car going, the better the fuel, the better your car goes. The better (or pure) your desires are, the more likely you are to stay focused and keep on track.

Desire is the second of our 5 Core Values and is the fuel that keeps the flame alive.
COMMITTMENT

The promise you make with yourself based on how strong your Motivation and Desires are.

It is the glue that binds everything together and it has to have no cracks, leaks or loop holes. This is where we often come unstuck as most of the time our commitments are based on the “perfect world.” We know that there is no such thing as the “perfect world” so it makes more sense that our Commitment should be based on a “no matter what happens” world.

The third of our 5 Core Values, Commitment keeps our fire from burning out of control and makes sure that it does not burn itself out all together.
BELIEF

So many times you start, you do really well, you stay on track, you almost get there and then you find yourself right back to the beginning and what’s worse, often, you are in a worst shape than when you started.

This happens because you stop believing, you stop believing in the program, you stop believing in your goals and you stop believing in yourself.

The fourth and most powerful of our 5 Core Values because when you believe, doors open and when doors open, you realise that “you can” and no longer do you live in the shadow of your past attempts.
ATTITUDE

The fifth of our 5 Core Values, Attitude is not part of the journey, Attitude is the journey. It is the culmination of Motivation, Desire, Commitment and Belief and is the foundation from which anything is possible. It is connected to all of our Core Values in some way and as you progress from one Core Value to another, your Attitude changes accordingly.
